A batch of UPT stations will go to Vologda
Three cottage cheese pressing and cooling stations of the UPT series (Mitrofanov cooler) was manufactured in early August for dairy plant in Vologda region.
The main functional part of the UPT installation is a rotating drum made of pipes. Bags with a curd are loaded inside the drum. The process of cottage cheese self-pressing takes place in the drum, that is, the separation of whey from the lower sacs occurs due to the pressure of the upper ones. With a slow rotation of the drum, the upper bags fall down, and the upper ones rise, and thus the whey is squeezed out of the entire mass of cottage cheese. Running water enters the cavities of the drum pipes and cools the product. The direction of rotation of the drum can be arbitrarily changed by the operator. The whey flows into the bath and is discharged through the corner pipe.
