Description

Purpose

Designed for mixing solid, granular, powdery substances with different specific weight while preserving their structure. They are used to create the powder mixtures and the mixing of loose abrasive, explosive materials. It is possible to use this type of mixers for mixing wet granular materials.

Additional equipment.

The drum mixer is equipped with additional equipment at the request of the customer:

Automatic mixing process control system based on programmable logic controller with touch screen;
system of automatic stopping of the mixing process;
timer that allows you to set the mixing time;
speed converter of the mixer drive.
system for reversing the direction of rotation of the mixer drum.

Process

The drum mixer is a batch mixer and is a single-layer cylindrical container horizontally mounted on a frame. The drive is a gear motor. Inside the mixer, along the entire length of the cylinder walls, blades without sharp corners are installed parallel to the axis of rotation, contributing to the mixing of the product. The mixer is loaded with components through an installed hatch. Unloading of the finished product from the mixer is carried out, as a rule, through the same hatch, or through the unloading unit of the product (gate valve). For safe operation, the drum mixer has a folding frame with a limit switch around the perimeter. The principle of operation of the drum mixer is to mix the loaded raw materials by rotating the mixer tank. The usual degree of filling of the drum is 30-70%.
