The preheated product from the recovery section of the plate heat exchanger is supplied to the pasteurization section where it is heated to the desired temperature by the direct heat, and suсcessively comes through the infrared system. Then, the product passes through section where it rests and is directed to cooling in a special section of the plate heat exchange.
In this section the product consecutively moves through an infrared heating system (in an annular space), which is heated by electric current and become a source of a specific spectrum infrared radiation, and a pipe made of a specific kind of fused silica allows it to penetrate the product without loss. After the heat treatment the product is transported to the plate heat exchanger for cooling. Cooling procedure is carried out in two stages: preliminary - in heat exchanger’s regeneration section by means of the incoming flow of initial cold product; final – in cooling section by means of a cooling agent (artesian or ice water, glycol solutions or brines) according to the counterflow principle.
Product processing in the pasteurizer is fully automated. Control system for this process is based on the Omron PLCs (Japan). Pasteurization temperature accuracy is ensured by the high infrared heating speed with the implementation of automated PID-control of the temperature. The use of the operator's touch panel allows for a range of process visualization types in digital and graphic forms with the issuance of messages in response to operator actions and emergency situations (SKADA-system functions). The parameters of the technological process of pasteurization are set in a separate window. The pasteurizer implements the function of archiving the values of the process parameters on a customer’s preferrable form of information carrier, which makes it possible to implement the documentation of the entire technological process.
A high level of automation via the use of USB and Ethernet ports allows, at the request of the customer, to provide the ability to connect the pasteurizer to the upper-level system and the Computer-Aided Process Control System of the enterprise.
